Sara Browning, MS, CCC-SLP
Sara Browning is a certified Speech Language Pathologist and the owner of Guidon Pediatric Therapy, a private speech language pathology practice with locations in Cameron, North Carolina and Fairbanks, Alaska. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Clemson University, and a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Old Dominion University. Sara has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for more than 20 years.
Sara holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
During her career, Sara has treated children and adults with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders. She has experience working in Early Intervention, school-based therapy, as well as geriatrics. Some of the disorders she has treated include speech sound disorders, language disorders, stuttering, childhood apraxia of speech, tongue thrust, hearing loss, traumatic brain injury, processing disorders, cognitive impairments, cleft lip/palate, and swallowing disorders. She is also VitalStim Certified. VitalStim Therapy is a specialized form of neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) designed to treat dysphagia (swallowing disorders) through muscle re-education.
